Commissioned for a business plaza in Aviatorilor, The Aviators is a tribute to WW2 pilot Alexandru Popisteanu and the area’s aerial history. Two stylised bronze figures, arms outstretched, mimic aircraft in formation. Their wing-like forms and graceful tension strike a balance between humour and reverence, resonating with the district’s past and its modern rebirth.
