Commissioned for a central public space in Aylesbury, I Am is a sculptural triptych exploring identity, transformation, and self-empowerment. The three gender-neutral bronze figures, I Am Me, I Am Strong, and I Am Free, were inspired by the creative reinvention of David Bowie and the resilience of Paralympic athletes born out of nearby Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Each piece represents a stage of self-realisation: reflection, strength, and liberation. Finished in vivid, contemporary patinas and arranged for public interaction, the installation offers a powerful statement about how we define ourselves and our potential.
