Commissioned to celebrate the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games, the Spirit of Friendship Festival and Her Majesty the Queen's Golden Jubilee. One of the UK's largest bronze sporting sculptures; The Runner reaches 30ft high and weighs 7tonnes. Installed in April 2002.
